Your Guide to Voting in the 2024 Oregon Primary

Are you eligible to vote in the upcoming Oregon Primary? And which candidates can you vote for? It depends on several factors.

WHO CAN VOTE?

To vote in the primary, you must:

- Be a registered voter in Oregon.

- Important Date: The deadline to register is 21 days before Election Day.

Party Affiliation Matters

- You need to be registered as either a Democrat or a Republican to vote in their respective primaries.

- If you belong to a minor political party, check their specific candidate selection methods.

Changing your party is simple and isn't permanent. You can change back at any time after the primary.

How to Register or Update Your Registration

- Go to "My Vote" to register or change your party affiliation

Important Date: Make sure to register or make any updates by April 30, 2024.

Why Your Vote Matters

- Primary elections often determine the final candidates for the general election, especially in areas dominated by one party.

- No matter your party, voting in the primary is crucial to have your say in who moves forward.

LEARN ABOUT CANDIDATES

- Take some time to understand who is running and their policies at every level. This will help you make an informed decision. We, the PAC, will have a voters guide so come back here to check it out.

PREPARE TO VOTE

- Decide whether you will vote early, by mail, or by dropping it off at a ballot drop site.

- Active registered voters receive an official ballot to complete and return. The ballot can be mailed or dropped off at any official drop box across the state.
